Every Atelier Mondrêve creation is conceived as a keepsake from a journey. Below you'll find answers to the most common questions about our perfume oils, extraits and limited-edition art bottles, so that you can care for them with the same intention with which they were created.
What makes Atelier Mondrêve fragrances different? +
Atelier Mondrêve creations are composed as narrative perfumes of place – each one inspired by a specific landscape, city or moment in time discovered while traveling.
We work in small, numbered batches using a blend of rare naturals and carefully selected aroma molecules. Many bottles are hand-finished as one-of-one art pieces, meaning no two are exactly alike.
All fragrances are hand-filled, labeled and checked in-house to ensure character, balance and longevity before they leave the studio.
What type of fragrances do you offer? +
Our collections are composed primarily of:
Perfume oils · Highly concentrated, alcohol-free compositions designed for a close, intimate sillage on the skin.
Extraits / Parfum strength sprays · Rich, long-lasting perfumes with a higher fragrance concentration than a typical Eau de Parfum.
The exact concentration and format for each creation is listed on its product page and, where possible, on the label or box.
How should I apply Atelier Mondrêve perfume oils? +
Apply the oil directly to clean, dry skin on your pulse points: wrists, inner elbows, sides of the neck, behind the ears and, if desired, along the collarbone.
Allow the oil to sink in – do not rub your wrists together, as this can disturb the top notes. For a more enveloping experience, you can lightly touch the residual oil to the ends of your hair or to the inside of your clothing hem (always test on a hidden area first).
How long do your fragrances last on the skin? +
Longevity will vary depending on the concentration, your skin type, climate and how much you apply.
As a general guide, most Atelier Mondrêve creations are designed to offer:
– Perfume oils: approximately 6–10 hours, with a softer, more intimate sillage.
– Extraits / sprays: approximately 6–12 hours, with more projection at the beginning,
settling closer to the skin over time.
Applying to moisturized skin and layering oil with spray from the same family can help the scent last longer.
Are Atelier Mondrêve fragrances unisex? +
Yes. All Atelier Mondrêve creations are designed as gender-inclusive perfumes.
Our point of departure is not gender but place, memory and texture – sunlight on water, incense in a stone alleyway, smoke from a night market, the cool air in a mountain pass.
We invite you to choose the fragrance that feels most like your own "passport stamp" rather than one that is labeled masculine or feminine.
How should I store my bottle? +
Treat your bottle as you would a photograph or work of art:
– Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
– Avoid storing in the bathroom where steam and temperature changes are frequent.
– Always close the cap tightly after each use.
When stored properly, a fragrance will usually keep its character for several years. Over time, natural materials may deepen slightly in color – this is normal and not a sign of damage when stored correctly.
What about allergens, sensitivity and ingredients? +
Our fragrances are composed using ingredients that comply with IFRA (International Fragrance Association) and cosmetic safety guidelines for their intended use.
If you have known sensitivities, we recommend performing a patch test on a small area of skin and reviewing the ingredient information and allergen declarations listed on each product page and/or packaging.
In case of irritation, discontinue use immediately and consult a medical professional if necessary.
Can I travel with my Atelier Mondrêve fragrance? +
Many of our formats are designed with travel in mind. For air travel, we recommend:
– Placing your bottle in a protective pouch or case.
– Packing it upright, when possible, inside your hand luggage.
– Respecting airline regulations for liquids in cabin baggage (usually 100 ml or
less per container, inside a clear bag).
Always ensure the cap or atomizer is securely closed before traveling.
Do you offer refills or bespoke creations? +
Selected creations and bottle formats may be eligible for refilling or re-using, depending on the batch and construction of the bottle.
For information about refills, bespoke work or private commissions, please contact us directly via the contact form on our website with details of your bottle and where it was purchased. Our studio will review what is possible for your specific piece.
